Our panelists talked about the role of the venue coordinator, gave advice on how to act and how not to act, spoke about the fans and how they can impact an act and so much more...:

David Hughes: David has been a venue coordinator for about 12 years. He was president of Spa City Blues Society for years. He is deeply involved during the BMA ceremony.

Tony Frederickson: Tony has been president for the Washington Blues Society for many years. He has also been a top venue coordinator for about 14 years.

Sandy McCann: Sandy served as secretary for the Ozarks Blues Society and has been in charge of venues at the IBC for about 8 years.

Three long-time judges joined me to talk about the scoring system, the reason bands lose points, how they rate each scoring category and more

Ms. Amanda Gresham

Amanda runs delta music experience, a real cool company that is dedicated to producing unique musical trips and events on rivers, roads and railways that give musicians and guests the opportunity to experience music and travel together up close & personal in an intimate setting and promotes an appreciation for and support of Louisiana and gulf coast music, art, culture and cuisine.

And they are actually coming up with a group by rail from New Orleans to Memphis to arrive in time for IBC – thanks Amanda

Ricky Stevens

Ricky is associate member of the board of Shriner’s Hospitals For Children - Shreveport. He also teaches cardiovascular technology at Northwest Mississippi Community College and is a man who knows his blues.

Michael “Hawkeye Herman”

Michael is a performer for some 50 plus years, received a keeping the blues alive award for his work in blues education in 1998 and has been sharing his blues non-stop
