I opened the show speaking with Cee Cee James and Rob "Slideboy" Andrews about their new project in the works entitled Stripped Down. We discussed the album and the fan-funding project they are running.
CHASE WALKER - Segment Begins At The 17:00 Mark
I met Chase Walker at the IBC when he appeared in the Youth Showcase. He now has his Sophomore album, Not Quite Legal, and we spoke about his journey…though it has been a short-ride so far, it has been full of adventure and there is so much more to come.
THE MIGHTY ORQ - Segment begins At The 47:00 Mark
Orq is out of Houston and was last seen on the stage at the Orpheum Theater in Memphis during the 2016 IBC Finals. I enjoyed speaking with this talented musician. We talked about his journey and where he is headed and we also listened to tunes from his latest release, Love In A Hurricane.

I welcome back Sunday Wilde. Sunday’s new album Blueberries & Grits, which she recorded in Memphis and Clarksdale, MS with Gary Vincent producing, was highly anticipated by the Blues world. Sunday and I (along with Reno), spoke about the recording process, song selection and the new record label she and Reno Jack have begun, Highway 11 Records.

Annika has recorded her new album, Wild & Free, and I am honored that she allowed me to WORLD PREMIER this much anticipated sophomore effort from the 2015 BMA Nominee. She and I discussed the recording and the song selection. We also discussed her moving forward from her last two years and what she has in store for the future.

Dennis returned to The Couch with his brand new release, Ready Or Not. The all-original album features Doug Deming & The Jeweltones behind Dennis. In addition, Dennis is taking a step forward to the mic and is singing on these new tunes. We talked about it all. We also touched on the state of Blues, Dennis' mentoring and his radio show.

We opened the show with Michael Packer & Mick Kolassa who will be performing at Lafayette Park located directly north of the White House in Washington, D.C. on September 21st with a Blues For Peace Concert on World Peace Day. We talked about the lineup...the times and Michael's meeting with law enforcement and not being in handcuffs!

Matty has a new album entitled Blue Skies. Out of Perth, Australia Matty takes his influences from folks like Robert Johnson and Jimi Hendrix. We spoke about his journey from first touching a guitar until today while we played songs from the album.

Paul's album, Relentless, comes at you full force, just like his live sets. The band appeared at the 2016 IBC and has been coming on stronger and stronger in the last few years. Paul and I discussed the new album, all that has occurred since the IBC and what is in the future.

Sammy has been a stalwart in the Northwest US Blues Community for over 20 years. He has released four albums along the way and the fifth; Sugar Me, hit the streets just a couple of months back. Sammy and I talked about his journey, his friendship with Ted Todd and the fact he squeezed us in between a Golf Tournament and a concert!
DIANA REIN - Segment Begins At The 45:03 Mark
Diana has just released her sophomore effort, Long Road. This talented multi-instrumentalist wrote all 12 songs on the disc. She and I spoke about her coming from Romania, finding the Blues, her short hiatus in 2011 and much more.
