Bassist Terry Dry & Drummer Matthew Robert Johnson have been the rhythm section behind Mike Zito for over two years. They have released their debut album Long Live Them Blues – Vol. 1, with a solid guest list of guitarists and vocalists. What a fun interview with these two. We talked about how they each got their start, how they met, the trials and travels and fun and more.

Bryan returned after a long absence with his new release Sanctuary. It was like we had spoken yesterday. Bryan told us the story of the album and how his life has changed over the last six years and why he left NOLA.

Benny & Cash have released Going Back Home and I was able to sit and talk about the project with Benny. Unfortunately, Cash was not able to join us. We talked about how the guys reunited and the recording of the album while we listened to the tunes.

TALL CITY BLUES FESTIVAL ANNOUNCEMENT SHOW
The 9th Tall City Blues Fest will be held on July 12 - 13, 2019 in Midland, Texas.
Tonight I was joined by Festival Founder and Producer Lisa Grissom while Talent Curator Ronn Reeger handled social media in the background.
We spoke with Nakia, Little Ed and Chubby Carrier about their upcoming appearances at the Festival. We outlined the entire schedule and spoke about the art auction, and becoming an "Angel" for the weekend for one of the acts.
