Out of the Boston area, the band was sent to me by Holly Harris. I got to meet John and Paul (no not them!) and learn about this 40+ year relationship and their passion for creating music. We checked out the tunes from Side Hustle which releases this Friday.

L.A. BIG DADDYS – World Premier Music
Couch Kid Jordan Patterson brought this duo, Matt Bragg and David E. Jackson, to me. What a fun time learning the history of these two remarkable musicians.
They have been the rhythm section behind some of the greats and now they are doing their own thing.

Russell “Hitman” Alexander returned with the new album Hey Can You Guys Play… a collection of songs the band has done by other artists. Always an interesting conversation with Russell, and we discussed doing a World Premier Listening Party for his next release!

Kirk and Jambalaya West have released Savor The Moment, and Kirk and spoke about how this album came together, his hopes to get on the road and more.

Fresh from their visit to Memphis for the IBC, I will speak to Diego about the band and the new While You Were Gone album. It has been 5 years since we last spoke. Great to catch up and learn where Diego is heading.

We spoke with the Paul’s in 2016 when they released Dusty Road. This evening we got the whole band and it was one fun raucous and informative segment as we listened to Nowhere Left To Go. These guys need to get on the road!

THE WICKED LO-DOWN
What a great time meeting most of the band; Nick David, Paul Size, Jeffrey Berg & Brad Hallen were able to join me. We went through their Gulf Coast Records debut, Out Of Line, in its entirety (well, we missed the last song, a Hound Dog Taylor uncover), while learning about each of the members. Fun group of guys with a ton of talent. THANKS AGAIN to the band and Gulf Coast Records.
PHILIP SAYCE – COUCH KID NEW MUSIC
It had been 10 years since Philip, and I chatted. It was great to catch up and discuss the music he created during those years, the touring, and his finding peace. We listened to The Wolves Are Coming, as we spoke.
BEX MARSHALL
UK British Blues Award winner and 4-time European Blues Awards nominee Bex Marshall joined me early in the morning in the UK. And she had not been to sleep yet! What a fun talk. If Bex is this much fun at 4 AM, I can’t imagine! Her album Fortuna contains some great tunes.
