Now with his own group, The Vestapolitans, he offers a good-time mix of originals and covers spanning blues, ragtime, hill country breakdowns, and more great American roots ’n’ roll. Their new album is entitled Great Day In The Morning and Brad sat with me on this night to talk. We barely got through his career and left many stories on the table for another visit which we will plan soon...but on this night, find out about Brad's amazing gig when he was 19 and meeting a legend when he was in Memphis back in the 80's and more.

LARRY "FUZZY" KNIGHT
Larry "Fuzzy" Knight played in Spirit with Randy California in the late 70's, and for the last 17 years he has led the in-demand LA based band Blowin' Smoke Rhythm & Blues Band Featuring the Smokettes. And just because he can, he has launched a new project, Sky King, with some top LA musicians. Larry and I chatted about his growing up in St. Louis and his sneaking into the clubs and eventually talking his way on stage. The list of people he has shared a stage with is staggering as is his musical resume.
KIRSTEN THIEN - Segment Begins At The 54:00 Mark
Kirsten Thien has been compared to others, but she truly has found her own place in the blues and soul of her music. Her latest release, Solo Live From The Meisenfrei Blues Club is a pure treat to the senses. Showing off Kirsten raw and powerful alone on the stage. She and I discussed her growing up and singing in church in her "Northern Baptist Style" - find out what that means!!! - and then having to make that life decision between two lives which would not co-exist with each other. Hint: She made the correct choice!
THE SOUL OF JOHN BLACK - Segment Begins At The 1:46:40 Mark
I got to speak with John A Bigham whose soul-roots project is called The Soul Of John Black.

What is he hoping to accomplish going forward? All things we discussed during our time on The Couch.

Mark "Muleman" Massey grew up in the cradle of the Delta Blues - Clarksdale, Mississippi.
Living there, he heard plenty of blues. But it took a stretch in Parchman Prison for Mark to discover the blues' deeper meaning. Mark and I sat and had an open discussion about his life and how ending up in Parchman saved his life and soul. Mark also cleared up some misconceptions about his incarceration. This gentleman is a "Musician You Should Know" of the highest order! Check him out. And, if you are a web-genius, Mark can use a webmaster to get his site up and running. Contact him!

They are now back touring the USA and Ori and Eleanor called in to discuss this incredible journey they find themselves on while we checked out songs from Happy For Good, their brand new album.
