We talked about her early childhood years playing music and why she left school before getting her PhD. in Finance. Danika discussed the recording of Second Chances, her debut album and how her songwriting has changed since then as she readies to go into the studio for her next album. Danika thought my question "Where will you be in five years..." was great and gave us a better answer than I think she knew.

We got to discuss her childhood, how she met Booglaoo Ames and became first his student, then his partner and finally his caretaker when he became ill. We chatted about her touring schedule and how she feels about the people in the blues world. Music from her album Ain't Got No Troubles kept us chair dancing the entire time!

We were honored to have Blind Mississippi Morris come sit on The Couch. Besides listening to some fabulous music from across his career, we got to talk with Morris about so many subjects. We discussed the robbery that had occured only a week before and the incredible outpouring of love which was showered onto Morris from fellow musicians and fans alike.
