NIK WEST
From a family of musicians comes Nik West. Taught guitar by her dad early on, the encounter with Michael Jackson's "Gonna Be Startin' Somethin'" caused Nik to reach for a bass guitar and the rest is..well history. With one album In The Nik Of Time under her belt, Nik has also spent time playing with Dave Stewart's all Female band and is in the studio right now working on a 'secret collaboration.' Nik and I talked about her life, and the desires she has for her career moving forward.
DARREN J FALLAS - Segment Begins At The 47:00 Mark
Darren J Fallas is a busy man. Playing in bands since he was 16, Fallas has worked hard on his craft and it helped lead his band to Memphis for the International Blues Challenge in 2008. After a short stint in Washington, Fallas moved to the Home of The Blues, Memphis, permanently and immediately made his mark. Within a year he was elected president of the Memphis Blues Society. Since then he has worked hard to rebuild the Society into a viable organization. We talked about his life, hopes for the MBS & his own career moving forward.

Having played music for over 40 years, Mark T. Small has played bluegrass, newgrass and finally it all came together with the blues. After years of leading a band, Small is now out playing mainly as a solo act. His newest release Black, Whites and The Blues is set for release on September 20th and as we chat with Mark about his life and his goals, we will check out cuts from this collection of covers and originals.

SANDY CARROLL
Sandy Carroll calls Memphis 'home' but has traveled the world and written songs for so many artists. Her music has been recorded by the likes of Luther Allison, Albert King, Don McMinn and Reba Russell among others. This woman is a wealth of talent and is continuing to impress any and all who see her perform. Sandy and I had a wonderful chat about her life and her musical likes. We also shared music from Just As I Am her latest album which drops on October 18th.

TOM HAMBRIDGE
Tom Hambridge began playing drums at 5 years old...Played his first paid gig in the 5th grade...Was writing songs as early as 6th grade...And he has not stopped since. Song writer, Producer, Drummer, Singer, he is the complete musician and he does them all very well. Tom sat on The Couch and we talked about his illustrious career. Want to know which question I asked where Tom remarked "No one has ever asked me that and it is bringing back so many memories..."Want to know about the tours he has done with so many fabulous bands? TRUTH & SALVAGE COMPANY - Segment Begins At The 49:30 Mark
Truth and Salvage Company have been playing together since 2007. Their debut album, released earlier this year was produced by Chris Robinson from the Black Crowes. They spend the entire of 2009 opening for the Crowes. They have 4 superb vocalists and they travel the country in their van "The Champion"I was able to sit with Scott (Lead Guitarists and singer)and discuss his life, the life of the band and their future.

SUNDAY WILDE
Sunday wilde began writing songs 5 years ago and self-taught herself the piano just three short years ago.
In that time, she has released three albums of music that transports you to dark, smokey juke joints filled with the smell of whiskey and stale beer. Sunday and I discussed her unusual road to receiving four Ontario Arts Council Awards and the Voters Choice award for Independent Music Awards for Best Blues Song. We listened to tunes from her latest album What Man? Oh THAT Man.
KELLY CARVIN - Segment Begins At The 52:08 Mark
How does a 20-something channel the sounds of the 60's inflected with a modern twist? In Kelly Carvin's case it came from years of listening to the music from that era in her parent's home. Kelly is a special artist with a solid skill at songwriting. her music is a delight to behold in this era of pop-formulated, auto-tuned music. Kelly and I chatted about her journey so far and her desires to grow even larger in the business. We listened to songs from her debut, Kelly Carvin and the Future and with this interview, we saw a glimpse into her future.
