HEATHER CROSSE
Heather has been performing for 31 years. Bassist for Heavy Suga' & The SweeTones, in 2008, Heather moved to Clarksdale, Mississippi to follow her Blues dreams & play bass for Super Chikan. This past year, Heather spent touring in the Girls With Guitars Tour for Ruf Records. Her new album is entitled Groovin’ At The Crosse Roads. Heather and I had a great conversation talking about her journey and what she is looking forward to in the future.

Also known as Billy The Kid and he and his band The Regulators have been wowing audiences for years. Out of the Pittsburgh, PA area, they have earned their way to the IBC twice, in 2008 and again in 2014. Their new album is I Can’t Change and Billy finally took a seat to talk about his life and career and why he makes the music he does.

Anthony is a founding member of Sugar Ray & The Bluetones has also been a keyboard force for folks like Muddy Waters, Otis Rush, Big Mama Thornton and Jimmy Rogers to name just a few. With the backing of some good friends, known here as The Boston Blues All-Stars, Anthony delivers Fifty Shades Of Blue, a 13 song tour de force. Anthony is a great guy and we had a blast talking about his journey and listening to the new album.

Tommy has been performing around the globe and with a legendary listing of performers since the '80s. He has just released 25 Year Retrospective, a 2 disc collection of songs representing every album along with 3 brand new tracks. Featuring performances alongside folks like Lucky Peterson, Garth Hudson, Levon Helm; the album is a true picture of Tommy’s musical life. He and I spoke about the new album, his extensive touring and more.
LAZER LLOYD - Segment Begins At The 1:36:10 Mark
After an internet hiccup the last time, Lloyd is finally making his way onto The Couch. We discussed his incredible success, his writing and the new self-titled album. We also talked about the new video for his song “Never Give Up”, in response to the murder of a young couple in Israel, in hopes of raising money for their orphaned children. Lloyd and I spoke about his career, the new album and what is coming up in the near future.

Omar sat for his fifth visit to The Couch. This time he dropped by to discuss his new release The Kitchen Sink, which is only being released digitally at this time. We talked about the four men the album honors, and listened to and discussed a number of tunes. Omar also discussed the trove of songs he wants to record.

Pam Taylor has sat on The Couch. Now she and her partner Robert Johnson, Jr. are together as Stolen Hearts and their new album is entitled Dirty Southern Soul. We chatted about how their individual bands imploded at about the same time opening the opportunity for their collaboration.

The album is a collection of Blues, Funky Soul, Memphis Strut and Southern Rock served up with the addition of MJ (Merrian Johnson) on vocals. LES COPELAND
Les caught the attention of “Honeyboy Edwards” and Michael Frank and recorded his debut on Earwig in 2010. His sophomore effort, also on Earwig, is now out and has folks talking about Les more and more. We talked about his journey, those he has performed alongside and we discussed and listened to the songs from To Be In Your Company. Listen to Les speak about why he stays close to home.
ANDY COHEN - Segment Begins At The 46:50 Mark
Andy has spent many years on the road sharing his talents as a masterful acoustic guitarist, folklorist and troubadour. His new album is entitled Road Be Kind and contains one original and 15 interpretations of older songs. Andy and I discussed his musical philosophy, his mentors along his road and the music he now shares.
RYAN LEE CROSBY - Segment Begins At The 1:33:30 Mark
Ryan came to us through Couch Kid Ted Drozdowski. Ryan’s fifth album, Busker On The Broad Highway is a collection of 4 original tunes and 6 blues classics; Ryan recorded it all live to tape with no overdubs to capture the spirit of the music. He and I sat and talked about the road, the life changes and where he is today in his life and music.

The gents originally Sat On The Couch back on November 18, 2013 when we discussed their careers and the band and heard songs from their All Frequencies album. This week Steve, Tony and Matt returned to talk about the new release, Moon Turn Red, which was released September 25th. We found out what the guys have been up to since their last visit, checked out Tuneage from the new album, spoke about the special guests they added to Moon Turn Red and we found out where they are heading next.
