BILLY PIERCE
Billy “Got Slide” Pierce has released Shapes Of Soul, a collection of 7 originals and 3 classic covers. Billy has been performing with artists such as Charlie Wooten, Sonny Landreth, Johnny Neel and others. He and his band came to the IBC back in 2015 and caused some talk on Beale. Billy and I talked about his journey, the music he is writing now and where he is headed tomorrow.
SARI SCHORR - Segment Begins At The 50:00 Mark
Sari Schorr has been getting press in Blues In Britain, Blues Matters & Big City Rhythm & Blues for her dynamic shows. A talented songwriter, her work has been on major labels, but it is now time for Sari to shine and she is doing just that. Her debut album is A Force Of Nature and those four words certainly describe Sari Schorr. She and I had a fun talk about her growing up in NY, the time she spent helping others around the globe, how that has impacted her songwriting and so much more.
CHARLIE WHEELER - Segment Begins At The 1:35:00 Mark
The Charlie Wheeler Band is out of Northern Pennsylvania and the trio is known for its rocking Blues/Southern Rock sound. Blues Karma And The Kitchen Sink is their fourth studio album and it brings the band to new heights. I originally 'met' Charlie back in 2008 and I was glad to reconnect and get him booked.
NANCY WRIGHT - COUCH KID NEW MUSIC

Couch Kid New Music brings Nancy Wright back to The Couch. This incredibly talented sax player has released a new album entitled PLAYDATE! Five of the thirteen songs are originals and Nancy has invited a slew of friends to play along. Nancy and I talked about her busy schedule, performing on the LRBC, working with Kid Andersen and how she selected the guests for the songs.

Out of central Illinois, Mary Jo has taken the Blues world by storm with her release simply entitled Mary Jo Curry. The album hit #1 on the RMR Blues Chart and was produced by Couch Kid, the superb James Armstrong. What path did Mary Jo take to get to today and where is she heading tomorrow were all a part of our conversation, while we listened to her tunes...OH, and Michael joined us too.

The four-time BMA nominee has released Out From The Center, featuring his guitarist Chris Vitarello. Bruce is one of the most in-demand keyboardist in the business today and we talked about his incredible journey over the last 30+ years.

G returned for the third time to talk about his new release Three Chords Too Many. Always fun to talk to this great songwriter, guitarist and this new album is a combination of two impromptu recording sessions. One held in St. Louis and the other in Budapest, Hungary. G and I talked about his time since we last spoke, including his being a judge on X-Factor Hungary.

Liz Mandeville returns for her third visit to talk about her new release, The Stars Motel. This is another non-traditional album as it was recorded in the studio in Liz’s basement – the contributing artists were given room and board in exchange for writing and recording three songs with Liz. She and I talked about this unique idea and writing with so many different partners and more. Great time as always.

Sugar Ray returned by to talk about the last 5 years since he sat on The Couch. He and The Sugartones have a new album out entitled Seeing Is Believing and we spoke about the album, the success of over 35 years as a band, the band's philosophy and more.
JUSTIN JOHNSON - Segment Begins At The 1:22:30 Mark
Justin returned to The Couch to talk about his latest release, the If Walls Could Talk album set. The album, behind the scenes DVD and included booklet are the next step in the evolution of this talented songwriter, singer and guitarist. Justin took us through the recording of the album and his new home off the road and where he is heading now.
DEB RYDER - Segment Begins At The 2:05:00 Mark
Finally Deb returned to talk about her new release, Grit Grease & Tears. This third album contains 13 original songs. It is a testament to the amount this stirring vocalist continues to grow. Deb and I talked about "the ride" she is on and has been the last 3 years.

JL FULKS
JL picked up a guitar at the age of 13 and has not looked back since. Playing in South Carolina and then Florida, where he gained experience performing on stages across the states. JL and his band won the South Florida Regional Blues Challenge and made it to the semi-finals at the 2016 IBC. His debut EP On Down The Road has brought him even more notice. JL and I spoke about his journey and where he is headed in 2017.
COLIN JAMES - Segment Begins At The 46:10 Mark
Colin has won 6 Juno Awards and 17 Maple Blues Awards and on his new album, Blue Highways, he pays tribute to some of his Blues idols including Jimmy Reed, Freddie King Jr and Buddy Guy. The ghosts of Halloween almost kept us apart, but Colin and I had a great chat about his incredible career and life.

Elam first sat on The Couch in June of 2011 as a member of Big Black Hand. Then he returned in June if 2014 to talk about the West Tennessee Blues Society he helped start. Now he returns with a new band and new music. Elam and I spoke about all that has been happening in his world since we last spoke. He also brought along Tucker Carroll, a 14-year old guitar wiz, who has joined the band since the album was recorded, so we got to find out about this new sensation.
