JACK ROWELL
Jack Rowell is a blue eyed soul singer & versatile guitar player from Memphis. Signed by Atlantic Records at 15, he has been performing ever since. He has played and toured with some of the biggest names in music. To quote blues guitar legend Albert King, “Jack is one bad white boy who can flat play and sing the blues!” Jack and I sat and discussed his career so far and where it is heading with his newest album. We were honored to be able to share three unreleased tracks from the forthcoming album.
WEBB DALTON - Segment Begins At The 48:40 Mark
Webb is another Tennessean with a long recording history. He cut his first single at the legendary Sun Studios, garnering him 1st place in the Memphis Songwriters Competition. Webb's style of music has been described as "Rockabilly HonkyTonkin' Rock N Roll" He co-produced his new album Mine's Bigger with Keith Sykes. Webb and I sat and discussed his road so far and the pathway he is planning on continuing his journey while listening to music from his album.

THE BRIGHTER SIDE
When you hear about a group of teens who are playing the blues with a passion, you have to check them out. Helping to keeping this genre alive for another generation is The Brighter Side from the Canton, OH area. Comprised of Jake Friel on vocals and harp, Fuad Farah on guitar, Noah Simionides on bass and Keith Wilson on drums, the band made it to Memphis for the Youth Showcase in 2011 and plan on making it back for the 2013 International Blues Challenge. I would not bet against them.

From a small California farming community came Jeff Jensen with a guitar in his hand. Starting his own band in 2004, the band clicked and appeared at the International Blues Challenge in 2005, 2006 and 2007, playing their west coast swing blues. With two albums under his belt, over 200 gigs a year and a passion for the blues, Jeff decided to move to Memphis less than 2 months ago and is already an integral part of the Brandon Santini Band, where he is adjusting his style to delta blues and doing it well. We talked to Jeff about his journey and his goals and listened to music from his 2009 release I'm Coming Home
LEE PONS - Segment Begins At The 50:49 Mark
Lee Pons has played with Zubin Mehta and Dee Snider...and not too many can make that claim if anyone at all!. From Louisiana to Julliard to Florida, Pons has shared his love for boogie piano near and wide. Lee sat with us and shared his feelings on life, music and told some great old stories from incidents in his life. We also listened to music from his last release Big Boogie Voodoo and we discussed his upcoming album.
